Artful Impressions – Gladiolas

Glorious pink Gladiolas – admittedly, I’m a sucker for fresh cut flowers in my home. They add an elegant and understated fresh beauty to a space, and it’s a luxury I am happy to indulge in. I photographed these lovelies last summer from window light in my bedroom.

Now, in the dead of winter, when getting outside to shoot and work on projects consistently gets delayed due to endless inclement weather, yet another new project idea emerges: Still life photography, while practising lighting skills, indoors, then editing and learning new software that allows me to dive into being an artist. Stay tuned for more to come in this series. I’m diving in to work on it this weekend with a friend and can’t wait to see what comes of it!

The website is coming together slowly but surely, we’re in the finishing stages and will soon be merging this blog with my domain name. I’ll make the announcement so you can all move over seamlessly to the new blog home when it happens.
